COD is a arcade shooter. It stands no chance against BF3/4. You can blow up buildings, drive tanks, fly helicopter and jets, and play on massive maps. All in multiplayer.

Every CoD until after World at War was good, after that, Battlefield is the winner!
CoD is really just a Michael Bay video game, and Michael Bay movies are crap.

There is a lot of conterversy regarding this topic, and before I start, I want to say this:
You are NOT better or worse for liking one more than the other.
Call of Duty:
Pros:
-Easy entertainment
-Large Age Range
-Easy to grasp (Not complex)
-Very linear in gameplay
-Controls are easy
-Not Graphic intensive for new players
-Weapon customization
-Large community
Cons:
-Poor community
-Not complex enough for long term playability.
-Too many DLC (Applicible to both games)
-Not Very Advanced in graphics
-Bad Map design
-Bad Spawn positions
Battlefield:
Pros:
-Vehicles
-Class selection
-Squads
-Selective Spawning
-Bigger maps
-In depth destruction
-Weapon customization
-Assault-Dependent classes
-Complex for different styles
-More appeal to "Hardcore" gamers
Cons:
-DLC based
-Origin
