TTT Rules;
Before I begin, I just want to say I typed this on my iPod, so the spelling will suck.
Comment a rule I might have missed so that I can add it to the wall, and comment for a discussion on why a rule exists so that we can decide whether the rule is actually necessary. Also, comment for rules that should be merged with other rules, so that I don't write two separate rules for something and waste space. Any questions I have for the rules I put down will be in {these silly looking brackets}, and will be edited out when question is answered, along with the editing to fit my questions answer into the rule.
Furthermore, I'll probably only be able to get through RDM tonight, as it is rather large, and I need to sleep. If anyone else wants to continue and send it to me through steam, or post it in the replies, I'd be grateful. I was thinking maybe a Certain-Maps-This-Is-Bad section, a Don't-Be-A-Retard section, and a chat section. And any other section. I'm too tired to think of more. Basically, after I got halfway through RDM, I stopped, so the things afterward are sloppily done.
Section 1; RDM.
General RDM: RDM occurs when an innocent or detective kills ANY OTHER PLAYER (This DOES include traitors) for no discernible reason. It is also when a Traitor kills his fellow traitors. RDMing over multiple rounds will result in the equivalent slays and warnings as regular RDM, and eventually slaying the offender will get boring, and they'll be banned. {Not entirely sure how mass RDM over several rounds ( An RDM every second round, that sort of thing) works, if someone could clear that up}
Traitor Baiting: Traitor baiting is when you randomly shoot, call yourself out, and hold out traitor weapons. This causes the traitor baiter to die, and the killer would lose Karma, if innocent. General traitor baiters should be issued warnings, and traitor baiters that cause the RDM of the person who kills them for it should be dealt with by administration. Carrying an explosive barrel into a group of people is also traitor baiting, because, seriously, who wants to get killed by a barrel because they weren't allowed to kill the guy who dragged it to them?
Propkilling: This is killing a random player, for no good reason, using a prop. A prop can be used to squash a player, or it can be thrown a distance and strike a player, dealing damage or death. Should be treated as regular, but purposeful RDM, because it is generally on purpose, or caused by carelessness. {Are traitors allowed to propkill innocents? It shows up in logs, most of the time.}
Explosive Barrels: {Should this be put in prop killing?} Shooting an explosive barrel that kills someone, whether it knocks them off an edge, or, for example, breaks the plank bridges on rooftops, killing someone, counts as RDM. Apparently, this isn't obvious enough, so it gets its own section.
Random Callouts: Pretty self explanatory. Do not call KOS' on people randomly, as it will probably get them killed, thus you RDMed them. This includes calling out your Fellow Traitors.
Give me more RDM type thingies by replying.
Section 2; Chat Rules.
Language: Don't use too many offensive and/or racially offensive words in Voice chat, or text chat. A little bit can be allowed, as long as it's jokingly. Don't be one of those Calgary Kids. This will result in warnings, temp-gags/mutes, and then after you've been warned enough, you'll be gagged/muted and forgotten.
Spam: Do not mic spam, or text-chat spam. Mic spamming, like screaming, singing, being really annoying over your mic, and spamming chat with either suit-zoom or general typing, will result in the same sort of punishment as Language.
Ghosting: Ghosting is when you use information received from outside of the game, such as skype, to influence the game. An easy solution is to not skype or steamcall people whilst you play, but if you think its a good idea {Don't want to be a hypocrite and say you can't do this at all, but should I say "no skype/steamchat/Ts3 allowed"?}, do not use it to discover, find, and kill traitors or innos. Punishment for this is severe.
Screaming, singing, yelling: Do not scream or yell into your mic needlessly. If you are pissed due to shit boxes, or your crap top, or lag, I guess we all need to blow some steam, but please, for the love of all that is holy, Mittens Laugh is enough to cripple our hearing. We don't need more. I don't want to be too hypocritical with this, [Mittens
] but please, don't sing into your mic. If no one cares, no one cares, but if ANYONE asks you to stop, thats that. Music playing is just stupid. If you want a song, go request it on the forums.
Advertisement: Do not advertise your server, your friends server, or your clans server while playing here. {Can they advertise youtube?} it gets pretty annoying, and is basically chat spam.
Deemed annoying: If your voice is deemed annoying by {X?}% of people on the server, or you are using an obvious voice changer, or your mic is so bad it sounds like you're swimming while using it, then you should be gagged. {Is this an actual rule that will be used?}
Names: Please, do not use names in a language that does not use the english alphabet, or is composed of a random assortment of these letters, such as ASDFGHJKL. Sorry, my Nigerian brothers, this disrupts the game and makes you virtually un-kosable, other than "KOS THE GUY WHOS NAME IS BROKEN!" Also, do not use names that would be confusing for quick chat, or voice chat, such as "That Guy", "Someone in Disguise", or "An Unidentified Body". This also makes kos' difficult for players who just want to play. Also, don't impersonate other players on the server. An example would be playing with someone named [GT] Fancy and changing your name to [GT] Fencie. Finally, don't use extremely rude, offensive, or just plain gross names. The sort of names that would get a ten year old slapped for calling out.
Section 3; Stupid-Thing-To-Do-On-This-Map.
Discombobs: On maps with high ledges, such as the pit of Biocube, or Rooftops in general, discombobs are traitorous. {I don't memorize every cliff, I'll need a list of maps} using them on these maps can be RDM if you get a kill, or Tbaiting if you don't.
Lights: Light switches can be found on maps such as Clue. As this makes it easy for traitors, this is traitorous, and an innocent turning off the lights is traitorous. {Can the D cancel this rule?}
Whitehouse Mines: Basically the same as explosive barrels, but untraceable, so if you get caught doing this, administration will be less lenient than with a simple explosive barrel incident.
Section 4; Don't-Be-An-Idiot.
Hacking: Just don't do it. Speed hacks, aimbot, wall hacks, whatever. Just don't. Severe punishment for hackers.
Distributed Denial of Service [DDoS]: Another stupid thing to do, so just don't.
Trolling: Some people enjoy being trolls, but its only funny for the troll, not for anyone getting trolled. Trolling and being a dumbass is frowned upon.
Punishment Evading: Joining the server while banned on a different account. Breaking rules and changing names is also evading. And then the most common form, RDM and leave. These are all banable {right?}, so please, think before you do. The time to have second thoughts is before, not after.
Door Spamming/Blocking: There is door spamming, which is really annoying, and ruins the game, so please, if you get an urge to spam press a button, try your drop ammo button. Door blocking comes in two forms. Prop blocking, and plain ol' standing in the door. Prop blocking is annoying, as it makes it hard to move and when you're trying to make a getaway, getting prop blocked makes people mad. Purposeful standing in door ways is treated sort of like T Baiting. You get warnings, eventually you get shot. If your death causes the death of the guy who killed you, it's on you.
Stalling: Do not purposefully stall the round. If you are legitimately trying to find the innocents, and you have a radar, you should be fine, but if you are derping back and forth down the same hallway, and don't buy radar, it's on you.
Now lets all make fun of my stupid questions, rules, and spelling! Seriously, could we get some spell check?
Thanks for the help, Exho, Psych [Place holder for anyone else]
